The cloud cover glows white, and blocks the stars from my view. Cradling me, the long grass bends as I lay my burdened soul to the ground. The music that fills my mind is overwhelming and the incapacitating feeling of longing returns as it does every night. Their cries, somehow still reach me and pierce my heart. Each stab, a flowing tear from my eyes. Can you hear my heart in return? Friends, long lost, and love beyond my memory settle in the fragile cracks deep in my chest.
